Nicky de Lange
Nicky has worked and trained in numerous countries over the years. She specialises in jumping biomechanics and helping riders overcome fears. With the training of horses, she prefers to work with young horses, producing them for other riders rather than competing herself. Biomechanical welfare of horses is one of her specialised interests: she formulates personal welfare plans for individual horses and the rehabilitation of both acute and chronic conditions in equine athletes, working with a team of veterinarians and specialists.

Bryce Wills
Bryce grew up in the industry, training with Deb Moore from Horse Sense and at Bluemoon Equestrian since he was a child rider. He competed very successfully in SANESA and young adult series. From then on he has focused on teaching and coaching, specialising in competitive junior riders. Bryce works both in-house and with external clients who keep their horses at home or at other professional yards because of travelling constraints. He also assists on the skills training programme for grooms and instructors.
Assistant coach and trainer
Deneal Van Wyk
Deneal started with Bluemoon in 2022 as a riding student and then joined the Equine Skills Programme, where she is studying towards EQASA Modules 3 and 4. She joined the Bluemoon Equestrian staff after moving to Johannesburg to further her showjumping career. She currently jumps in the 1.10 m classes on Trosky, a horse she produced herself. She teaches children and junior riders, services Pretoria North clients, and acts as a teaching assistant for Nicky in the theory lessons for Module 1 and 2 students.

Martinez Olivier
Martinez Olivier is the Head of Marketing at Bluemoon Equestrian, where she leads brand strategy, digital presence, and customer engagement initiatives.
With a strong passion for the equestrian industry and a focus on innovative marketing, Martinez works to grow the Bluemoon brand while strengthening its connection with riders, owners, and the wider horse community.
Known for her strategic mindset, creativity, and results-driven approach, she is committed to positioning Bluemoon Equestrian as a trusted and forward-thinking name in the equestrian world.
Working pupil
Gabriel Bloem
Gabriel's dream is to become a work rider and instructor. He approached Bluemoon Equestrian for assistance with achieving this goal, offering to work in exchange for experience and education.
He joined in mid-2025 and has come on leaps and bounds. He assists with setting up arenas, preparing horses, riding, yard duties, veterinary care, and research. He has obtained EQASA Modules 1 and 2 and is working towards Module 3.

Dr Jeanné Botha
Jeanné qualified as a physiotherapist before completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at Onderstepoort, which gives her an advantage when noticing minor impairments in the biomechanics and movement of her patients, and then diagnosing, realigning, and assisting in correcting those impairments.
Together with diagnostic equipment and her partnerships with other professionals, her understanding of the physiology of the complex systems within the body allows Jeanné to treat her patients in a holistic fashion, and not merely the most noticeable symptom.

Keagan Widdall · Equi-K9
Keagan Widdall is a SAVC-registered veterinary physiotherapist who qualified from Equine-Librium College in 2020. She owns and runs Equi-K9 Veterinary Physiotherapy, a mobile practice based in Johannesburg North and surrounds. She provides physiotherapy for equine, canine, and feline patients, with a focus on rehabilitation, injury prevention, performance support, and the maintenance of soundness and mobility.
Keagan has been involved with horses from an early age and has been riding since the age of three. She has competed in Open Equitation and showjumping up to 1.10 m. Her riding background, together with her clinical training, enables her to offer practical, horse-centred treatment programmes tailored to the individual needs of each horse.

Wihan Ras · Soul Equine SA
Wihan works with horses from all walks of life: from the retiree to the happy hacker to those competing and excelling in showjumping, dressage, eventing, endurance, and western riding.
Wihan is based in KwaZulu-Natal and travels to Johannesburg and surrounding areas, and to other provinces.

Equine dentist
Craigh Ramsden
Craigh Ramsden has been working in equine dentistry for 20 years, after graduating from the American School of Equine Dentistry in Virginia, USA, in 2006.
His approach is practical, calm and horse-focused, with an emphasis on making dental care as comfortable and low-stress as possible. Craigh works with unsedated horses wherever appropriate, while horses requiring sedation are treated in consultation with the client’s practising veterinarian.
His services include routine dental care and balancing, examinations, extractions and bit seats for ridden horses, working with everything from performance horses to ponies and donkeys.
With two decades of hands-on experience, Craigh believes good dentistry should support not only a healthy mouth, but the comfort, function and performance of the whole horse.
Sports psychology
Kevin Meyer
Kevin Meyer holds a BA in Sports Psychology from the University of Johannesburg and has spent the past 7 years working in the fitness industry, including 5 years as a Personal Trainer.
With 9 years of showjumping experience, Kevin competed at a professional level and proudly represented Gauteng at Provincial level. His own experience with performance anxiety ultimately led him to step away from riding - but rather than letting that experience define him, he used it as motivation to study Sports Psychology.
Today, Kevin combines his experience as an athlete, coach and sports psychology graduate to help athletes develop the mental skills needed to perform under pressure, build confidence, and prepare themselves mentally for big events.
